Corvair 50th Anniversary Celebration

This Saturday, October 3rd, 2009, there will be a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Corvair. In cooperation with McCurley Chevrolet in Pasco, WA, we will be having a small gathering of Corvairs on the front row of their lot. 8:00am is the scheduled opening time, we don’t know how long we will be there, but probably at least through the early afternoon. Come by and share memories and looks at one of the most unique cars ever produced in the US.

Note that at this time US-395 Northbound over the Blue Bridge between Kennewick and Pasco is closed due to construction. You will need to use an alternate route such as taking Gum St. over the Cable Bridge or taking SR-240 west to I-182 East.

Benton Franklin County Fair Parade Tomorrow!

Lineup entrance will be at 8th and Dayton in Kennewick. Come in by way of 10th avenue, as most of the other streets in the area will be blocked off. Judging of entries will be at 8:15am, so everyone needs to be in place and ready by 8:00am for judging. The parade begins at 10:00am. Hope to see you there and have fun!

Meeting Monday August 17th

Pasco July 4th Parade Recap

What a great parade! 12 Corvairs representing our club, and for the first time, we took home the 1st place award among car clubs. This is a fantastic accomplishment, the award will be scanned and posted soon.

Pasco July 4th Parade is GO!

The parade in downtown Pasco is set for the morning of July 4th. However, there has been a policy change this year. We need to provide individual proof of insurance to participate. So, if you wish to participate in the parade, get a copy of your vehicle’s insurance card to Brian ASAP so that he can send in the information to the parade organizers.

The schedule is shown below:

7:00 am – 9:15 am Registration and line-up for pre-parade car cruise
7:00 am – 12 noon Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast (location: Memorial Park)
10:00 am – 11:30 am Grand Old 4th Parade (location: Memorial Park)
