Description: The 2012 Northwest Corvair EconoRun will be May 4, 5 & 6 in the most beautiful town on Puget Sound, La Conner, Washington. This annual event draws Corvairs from all corners of the Pacific Northwest and Western Canadian Provinces, so chances are you’ll see many of these beautiful Corvairs for the first time!
North Cascades Corvair Club has put together an amazing EconoRun drive along the Puget Sound, into the gorgeous Skagit Valley, and along the wondrous Cascade Mountains. You’ll get to see interesting new places while measuring your gas mileage on this leisurely, safe and well designed course. You’ll learn tips for getting the best gas mileage from your Corvair and have a delightful ride!
Besides the highlight EconoRun, an extravaganza of events is planned for the three days. A fun and entertaining banquet will fill our Saturday evening. The vantage point will be spectacular as you enjoy a delicious meal from the “foodie paradise” of La Conner’s best gourmet chefs.
A spectacular “Show ‘n Shine” is planned for Sunday. La Conner is famous for its Classic Car and Boat Show, so they know how to show off plenty of beautiful Corvairs. This is a terrific opportunity to display our beautiful cars and increase the public interest in these engineering wonders. The Northwest EconoRun rivals the CORSA convention as a place to interact with other Corvair fans. With the CORSA convention in far-off Massachusetts this year, don’t miss this opportunity to see perhaps the largest collection of Corvairs within 2,000 miles!
